About

Headshot.'17Hey! I’m so excited for you to be here and be able to get to know me and follow my story.

I was born on September 13th, 1999 in Port Charlotte, Florida, and moved to Frederick, Maryland when I was only two. While my birth certificate says I’m from Florida, I consider myself a true Maryland native.

I know I haven’t done it all, but I’ve had a wild ride so far. I’ve played a wide variety of sports: football, track & field, soccer, basketball, martial arts, and even danced for a year. Through Urbana High School I was a member of the Show Choir, a lead actor in the production of The Velveteen Rabbit, and Check Please! As well as a member of the stage crew for Curtains, & Hello Dolly! In addition, I’ve been a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) as a huddle leader for Urbana High School, and have been in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA): Rho-Kappa, National Honor Society, Key Club, and many more clubs.

Ever since I was young I’ve had a passion for service and throughout high school, I was incredibly honored to serve in a number of roles during my four years. Arguably the most prominent focus in high school was my work with the student council, primarily on the county, state, and national level. Beginning as the 2nd Vice-President for the Frederick County Association of Student Councils (FCASC) my 8th-grade year, I rose to the position of Vice-President and even President my sophomore year. During this time, I joined the Executive Board for the Maryland Association of Student Councils (MASC) serving as the Western Divisional Liaison, Environmental Affairs Coordinator, and Student Training Coordinator. This allowed me the chance to serve as the Chief of Staff for MASC for 2016-2017.

My journey has led me across the country to work with countless students and to share my story. I’ve been honored with the opportunity to serve as the Master of Ceremonies for the National Association of Student Councils (NASC) LEAD DC Conference twice, and my work has allowed me to speak and present to thousands of students, in Maryland, the US, and even the globe. In addition, I’ve had the opportunity to lead workshops in DC, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Oregon.

Despite my love for student council, I felt a need to broaden my work and pursue another path… this led me to join my school’s Mini-THON chapter. There I was able to thrive, combining my passion for business with service, being selected as the Executive Director of Operations for 2016-2017, with the help of my board I was able to lead our school to raise over $50,000 for pediatric cancer research through the Four Diamonds. In 2017 I was even able to present at the annual Mini-THON Leadership Summit in Hershey, PA.

Through my work, I was able to attend the 2015 MD Seminar of the Hugh O’Bryan Youth Leadership Foundation (HOBY), as well as the 2015 World Leadership Congress (WLC), and the 2016 Advanced Leadership Academy (ALA). I’ve served on the Team Alumni for HOBY MD ever since, as a member of the recruitment team, the talent show coordinator, and the assistant to the Team Alumni Director. As well, I was able to attend the HOBY PA West Seminar in 2017 as the Junior Facilitator for the Blue Group.

In 2017 I graduated from Urbana High School, and I’m currently a Freshman at the University of Maryland: College Park. I’m in the College Park Scholars program for Public Leadership and am currently on track to graduate with a double major in Finance & Education, with a minor in Public Leadership in 2021.
